About Joy Arnold
Welcome to my site.
My background: I graduated with a degree in art education, but chose to get an associate degree in photography and worked as a free-lance photographer, photographer/graphics specialist and as a marketing communications manager for architects and engineers for over 30 years. These positions involved the photography of projects, people, events, and construction. The photos were used in developing all forms of marketing collateral, Public Relations and advertising, proposals, PowerPoint presentations and Web page design.
Through the years I also collaborated with my husband, Ernest Burden, on several of his books including 'Design Communications: Developing Promotional Material for Design firms' published by McGraw-Hill, 'Marketing To Win: Developing and Improving Marketing Materials for A/E/C Firms', 'Illustrated Dictionary of Architecture' and 'Entourage: A Tracing File,' both published by McGraw-Hill.
